Why we sometimes sleep less well during the Full Moon
In reality, the Full Moon isn’t always the sole culprit. Sleep is very sensitive to our lifestyle: fatigue, screens, irregular rhythms, worries… all of these play a significant role.
The Full Moon can simply accentuate a period when you’re already feeling a bit stressed or worried. Because you sleep more lightly, you wake up more easily and feel like you’ve had a bad night’s sleep.
Sometimes all it takes is a room that’s a little too bright, a busy day, or a mind that’s too preoccupied for the night to become restless.
Our simple tips for sleeping better during this period
Good news: a few small habits can really improve sleep quality, Full Moon or not.
First thing to do : avoid screens before bed. The light from your phone or television stimulates the brain and delays sleep. Ideally, turn them off about 30 minutes before going to bed.
Second tip: create an evening ritual. A hot herbal tea, a few pages of a book, soft music or a few deep breaths signal to the body that it is time to slow down.
Another very effective method is to write down everything that comes to mind before going to sleep: to-do lists, ideas, thoughts… Putting your thoughts on paper helps to free your mind.
Finally, try to go to bed at regular times, even on weekends, because sleep thrives on regularity and the body falls asleep much more easily when it has a stable rhythm.
The Pink Full Moon of early April is primarily a reminder to slow down, take care of yourself, and enjoy calmer evenings for more peaceful nights .
